Multi-Factor Authentication

Multi-Factor Authentication provides an added layer of protection to the sign in process.

If you already use a software authenticator like Microsoft Authenticator or LastPass Authenticator you can also use Okta Verify and Google Authenticator simultaneously.

Okta Verify and Google Authenticator will present the QR code or key option that can be entered or scanned into any software authenticator.

if you get a new phone, contact ITS to reset the authenticator

If you do not already have a Authenticator,

TIP #1: PLEASE MAKE SURE TO INSTALL THE APP FOR MFA USAGE! DO NOT JUST USE YOUR CAMERA APP!!

TIP #2: When completing set up it is important to DOWNLOAD the app on your phone. If you skip this step you will be LOCKED OUT of Okta. If you are locked out of Okta, please contact the Service Desk for assistance.

TIP #4: If you have installed more than one method of authentication, you can choose which one to use in the dropdown box (pictured).
