New Account Setup
Welcome to Hotchkiss from the Information Technology Services Department!
HOW TO SET UP YOUR HOTCHKISS ACCOUNT
In order to proceed, you will need:
Your login credentials (user ID & temporary password). These should have been sent to your personal email address. If you cannot find this message, consider checking your SPAM folder and if it is still not found, contact the IT Services department.
A personal cell phone or mobile device for enrollment into our Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to protect your account. You will need to download an app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, so make sure you have appropriate access before getting started. If you do not have a personal cellphone or mobile device, please contact the IT Services department to discuss other options.
- Setup Multifactor Authentication Service
You may choose to use Okta Verify or Google Authenticator. Download your chosen service from your phone's app store and proceed with the instructions below.
2. Setting a New Password
Enter the temporary password in the “Old password” field and then create a new password based on the criteria listed below.
Your password must be at least twelve characters long, contain at least one character from three of the following four types of characters, and cannot include any part of your username:
Numbers (0,1,2,3,4, etc.)
Upper case letters (A,B,C,D, etc.)
Lower case letters (a,b,c,d, etc.)
Symbols (!, @, #, $, etc.)
Click “Change password”
3. Setting up a Secondary email
Enter your personal email address in the "Secondary email" field
You will receive a message in your secondary email account asking you to confirm your secondary email address by clicking on a link within the message. You should visit your secondary email account after you have completed the setup of your account to verify the address.
4. Setting up a Security image
Next, choose a security image from the images presented on the screen.
Click on “Create My Account.”
