Make sure to reboot your computer about once a week. To do this go to the Apple menu in the upper left-hand corner -> press restart. Restarting will help with quirky issues and to help reset some things in the laptop. MAKE SURE TO SAVE YOUR WORK BEFORE DOING THIS.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Closing the lid of the laptop does not fully reboot the laptop.
If your browser is giving you issues, go to the upper left-hand corner next to the apple menu -> press the bolded name of the browser -> press quit -> reopen. Closing and reopening your browser will help the browser to correctly resolve issues. MAKE SURE TO SAVE YOUR WORK BEFORE DOING THIS.
Backing up: your computer is backed up automatically through Google Drive for desktop. However, the first time launching it you need to sign in. this process is shown in this video:
